Green Vision Cleansing is a residential green cleaning business based in Burlington, Vermont. It makes its own 100% natural cleaning products from pure essential oils and serves environmentally conscious households.
As the business grew, managing the work became harder than the cleaning itself. Crews moved between job sites, hours and overtime were tracked by hand, and clients had no easy view of upcoming jobs or what they owed. The company needed field-service software in the style of Workyard, shaped around how a cleaning business actually runs.
The decision
We built Green Vision as one platform with a web portal for the office and a mobile app for the field. Everything is organised around projects and tasks: a project is a client location, and each task is a scheduled clean with its crew, time window, status, chat and invoice. Crews clock in and out on their phones, GPS geofences confirm they are on site, and hours, mileage and labour costs flow automatically into timesheets and job-cost reports. Clients use the same app to see their projects, follow each task from upcoming to completed, and pay invoices.
What we built
The web portal
Web portal- Secure sign-in. One login for the business, with remember-me and password recovery.
- Projects and work orders. Create client projects and schedule tasks on a calendar, with checklists and custom labels.
- Timesheets and approvals. Filter hours by employee, pay period, date or job, with an audit trail of every change.
- Job costing and reports. Hours, mileage and labour cost per job, with cost reports exported to Excel.
The mobile app: Green Vision for iOS and Android
App Store- Time tracking. Clock in and out, live status of who is working, automatic overtime and break rules, and bulk clock actions for managers.
- GPS job sites. Geofenced job sites with entry and exit logs, reminders, automatic mileage and real-time crew location.
- Task dashboard. Upcoming, ongoing and completed tasks with time windows, assigned crew and a chat thread on each one.
- Payments and invoices. Clients see the amount due on each task, view the invoice and pay from the app.
- Three languages. The app works in English, French and Spanish for a diverse workforce.
